The Other Side of The Dark Clouds

This week I'm pretty beat up with all my activities and works. It's a kind feeling you are floating in the sky and your foot cannot step on the ground, confused and don't know what to do. But no matter what happens, life needs to keep flowing away while hoping the cloudy days who's always following me nowadays give up and my bright day will become.

Arrived at Seoul Area, I went to an infamous outdoor restaurant around Gangnam Area called Jardin Perdu. Jardin Perdu is the outdoor and indoor restaurant with the classic-elegant and romantic restaurant. Usually, people go to this restaurant for a blind date or a date with someone special. The ambience of the restaurant really romantic and quiet enough for dating, the outdoor area was very beautiful, but the weather quite windy that day so I decided to enjoy the indoor area.

From the indoor area, there is my favorite decoration which is the hanging peach clouds. It's really pretty and makes me hope my dark cloud will become that beautiful peachy cloud.

Okay then, let's order the food! I went to this restaurant with my 2 close friends, but we were really hungry, so we ordered 5 menus, which are Onion Soup, Salmon Salad, Seafood Tomato pasta, Beef Cream Pasta, Acciughe Risotto.

And for the opening, they served pieces of bread. Let's Enjoy!

First, we started with the Onion Soup, the plating of this soup quite unique and the taste was good. They place the bread in the top of the soup together with slices of Parsley. The taste was good, not really salty, but the taste of Onion not really strong, so it's not destroying the overall of soup taste.
Price: 13,000₩

Another starter was Gravlax di Salmone (Salmon Salad). Salmon has been always my favorite so I really enjoyed this salad. Besides the fresh salmon this salad completed with Arugula, Caper, and Tomato. The fresh salmon was dancing merrily in my mouth, make me keep eating this salad.
Price: 17,000₩

Mare Spaghetti (Seafood Tomato Pasta) was great! It was made mouth watering with the fresh tomato pasta sauce and perfectly cooked spaghetti noodles. It was blended well and tasty. Unfortunately, I have an allergy to scallop, but my friends said it was good. I think I would like to recommend this Pasta if you come to Jardin Perdu.
Price: 19,000₩

Gorgonzola Pappardelle (Beef Cream Pasta) was the best of the 5 foods I ordered! Usually, when I go to a restaurant I would like to spend sometimes to read a restaurant review. And the Gorgonzola Pappardelle has a lot of positive reviews, so I ordered that. When I tasted that the reviews aren't lying. It was good, the pasta sauce was great and they served the pasta with big pasta noodle which made this pasta more special. I personally like the texture of pasta noodles and not forget to mention the Beef Meat, it was tasty and tender. 5 stars for this pasta.
Price: 21,000₩

The Acciughe Risotto is Risotto made by Anchovy for the taste. Overall, the Risotto has really tasted "Anchovy" and I feel like eating an Anchovy porridge. Personally, it wasn't my favorite, but if you are fans of the Anchovy maybe this risotto can be great to order.
Price: 17,000₩

Overall, I really fall in love with the interior of the restaurant, the food was good but the price quite expensive. Yet, if you want to spend special time with the special person this restaurant is worth to try! And a little bit advice, you better make reservations before because sometimes the restaurant always packed with customers.

The dark clouds I have I wished I can kick that cloud away as soon as possible. I'm quite exhausted and sometimes feeling like everything was too much. But I always make a swear to myself to not give up when everything not happened as I want. I just believe, I surrounded by people who will be always loved me and never leave me alone. I'm pretty sure on the other side of the dark clouds is a bright blue sky. So I will be hanging here, keep trying and praying until the bright blue sky come. I hope you all do the same anytime the clouds pay a visit to your life, DO NOT EVER GIVE UP!

Rainbow After the Rain

An another weekend story, along with hard snow, my small step emerged the day. Weekend, time to meet friends and eat some delicious foods and decent dessert. We gathered around 1 o'clock and take a walk together to a famous restaurant called 3 birds. 3 birds is a restaurant by YG entertainment company, one of the biggest entertainment companies in Korea, the created of Bigbang and 2NE1.

With the silver big door, once we step into the restaurant, we can experience a unique atmosphere here. Vintage yet modern and elegant, we can find the colorful bird mural on the wall which gives us the warm and fun feeling. This warm feeling combined with a cold feeling of marble-made tables.

The open counter of food and dessert, make us easier to pick the foods we want to order. No need confused because of food is displayed well and look delicious which made us want to taste everything.

Finally, after a very long discussion (everything looks delicious, we can't easily decide), we ordered Mushroom Sandwich / 머쉬룸 샌드위치, Salmon and Fennel Open Sandwich / 연어 페넬 오픈 샌드위치, and Balt Sandwich / BALT 샌드위치.

My favorite one, Salmon and Fennel Open Sandwich. For personal taste, from the 3 sandwiches I ordered, it was the best sandwich! First, because I really love Salmon! The toasted bread was perfect, on top of the bread they use a very delicious sour cream for the jam, completed with various vegetables which some of them I never eat before (FYI, I'm meat mania-not really fond with vegetables) yet blended well with the salmon and bread. And served with corn and bean salad. Nice! And perfect!
Price: 13,000 won.

The Mushroom Sandwich was... perfect! Served together with fresh salad, on top of the sandwich bread, there is the mushroom, melted cheese, and some vegetables with cheese flakes covered them all. The bread was perfect as well, well done toasted gives the crunchy texture, blend very well with the mushroom and cheese.
Price: 11,500 won.

The last one, Balt sandwich. Avocado! If you are avocado mania, you definitely order this one! Inside of the toasted bread there are veggies, pork meat, fresh avocado and sauces. I don't know what the secret recipe of the sauces, but it's actually great and made everything in blended perfect! And served with crunchy potato chips made everything completed!
Price: 9,500 won.

Actually, we had planned to move another place to get our dessert, but we've got seduced by the 3 bird's desserts. And the result, we ordered 2 kinds of look-very tempting desserts, Seasonal Pumpkin Pie / 시즈널펌킨파이 and Rhubarb & Cranberry Pie / 루바브&크랜베리파이.

Alright, let's talk about the Rhubarb and Cranberry Pie. It was fantastic, with cranberry mixed on top of the perfect baked pie, I don't how they created that very perfect taste. The cranberries feels fresh and the pie was tasty! Served with vanilla ice cream and made two of them match made from heaven!
Price: 9,000 won.

The Seasonal Pumpkin Pie, remind me with Halloween Pie, very sweet, but match well with the (once again) perfect baked pie, and blended well with vanilla ice cream.
Price: 8,500 won.

Overall, everything was perfect here. The restaurant nuances and the food were magnificent. I will give two thumbs for this restaurant. Definitely going to go there again if there is anytime!

After filling our stomachs, I and friends went to IFC mall for shopping!!!!! There's a lot sale, but I don't why there are no things I want to buy, so I just take a walk and drink my favorite Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks while watching my friend shopping. Ha-ha!

The sun goes down and I need to come back home, say see you again with my lovely friends.

Sometimes for me, Saturday is always being my reset button. Reset from every exhausted day, reset from stressful work and school, reset from lonely long day, reset from every my broken heart, reset from every person whose dismisses me, reset from every pain and hurt. We survive in a very harsh world, there are a lot pains and hurts we are going to accept, not only from the others but maybe from our self esteem.

So whoever you are, wherever you are, this is your life, when you're feeling broken and the world seems not to treat you well, you need to find a reset button. Take a Breath, push that button and give yourself a break because you're deserved to. Just remember, You try to remember that, even in the bad news, there's always a good news. There's always a rainbow after the rain. Cheers!
