A Shoulder to Cry On

Escaping myself from my daily-work-life and went to Seoul to meet friends. I've been so lucky to have them, they willingly come to meet me only for 1 hour in the middle very cold day.

Not waste my-1-hour-only time, we went to Mr. Holmes Bakehouse / 미스터홈즈베이크하우스. The best croissant bakery in town! Then we ordered Ferrero Rocher Croissant/ 페레로로쉐 크로와, Plain Croissant / 페라인 크로와상, Cruffin / 크로핀, Apple Bostuck / 애플 보스톡. I was grown up in bakery - factory family, so I definitely know about how's great bakery taste! And after 3 years living in Korea, Mr. Holmes Bake House is the best bakery I ever had. If you croissant-fans like me, you definitely need to come here and eat all of them! Wonderful!

How to get there :
Mr. Holmes Bakehouse / 미스터홈즈베이크하우스
서울특별시 강남구 압구정로10길 34 / 34, Apgujeong-ro 10-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea 06028.
Seoul subway Line 3 to Sinsa station (신사역) get out to exit 8.

It was a very short time, escaped from my daily work life which is sometimes made you get a lot of pressure and stress. The hard thing here, as a foreigner, living and working in very different cultures and society, communicate with not-your-mother language, far away from your family and friends. You need to boost yourself with very positive things and surround yourself with the one you loved and friends whose always be there for you. Not even once they ever judge me or say bad things about me. People who's not only being there when you happy, but when you sad too. Sometimes, you just need someone by your side to heal your pain or just a shoulder to cry on.

Maybe it's not blood bonds that make us a family. Perhaps it's the people who know our secrets, and love us anyway.

And here I am, I got baked in Seoul in the middle of very cold winter day by my warm not-blood-bonds family. :) Keep fighting y'all!

Get Up and Keep Fighting!

Another weekend. Another story. Together with falling snow, that day I went to meet my friends to have some good beer and food. So I made an appointment to go beer cafe called The Booth. The booth was sponsored The Beer Week Seoul last Autumn. Of course here we are, to enjoy some good beer! You can see the story in here WALK ON THE MOON.

I Ordered get wit or die trying beer. Another one was my friend's called 대동강 and imperial biscoti break. Hard name for beer! Then we ordered the full pan of half Cheese Pizza / 치즈피자 And the one of the best pizza I ever ate 페퍼로니 피자 / Pepperoni Pizza and 프렌치 프라이즈 / French Fries.

How to get there:
The Booth Gangnam 2nd / 더부스 강남2호점
서울특별시 강남구 강남대로98길 12-4 / 12-4, Gangnam-daero 98-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Korea.
Seoul Subway Line 2 go to Gangnam Station (강남역) exit 11.

If you want to drink beer while having fun and chat with friends, I strongly recommend The Booth. CHEERS!

After eating, we went to watch the currently-hot-movie Lalaland (but I take picture with Mr. Newt Scamander). And last week I just saw the Golden Globe Awards, when Lalaland breaks record for most Golden Globes won by a movie. And Emma Stone won as the best Actress made a very impressive speech:

"TO ANYBODY, ANYWHERE, WHO FEELS LIKE GIVING UP SOMETIMES BUT FINDS IN THEMSELVES TO GET UP AND KEEP FIGHTING, I SHARE THIS WITH YOU." - EMMA STONE

So wherever you are now, whatever you do now, if your dreams seems fade away, don't ever give up, stand up and keep fighting! Because hard work never betrays you.

After pizza and beer and movie, I met a friend and decided to eat (again) at a restaurant called Double Trouble / 더블트러블. We ordered the Double Trouble Sandwich / 더블트러블 샌드위치 and 폴드포크 프라이즈 / Pull Pork Fries. It was great! But unfortunately, because my stomach still full I can't eat a lot that time! But sometimes I'll be back there. Double Trouble interiors very interesting, the atmosphere like American Old Cafe.

How to get there:
Double Trouble / 더블트러블
서울 강남구 봉은사로4길 22 역삼동 810-13 1층 / 22, Bongeunsa-ro 4-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Seoul Subway Line 2 go to Gangnam Station (강남역) exit 11.

It was one fine day with my very full stomach!

If You've Got Enough Nerve

My first post on 2017! Been so busy and don't have time to write a new story here. So this is weekend and time to tell you all my story!

Last week before closed the 2016, I went to the Seoul Dessert Fair.

There are a lot food trucks and dessert choices. Come with an empty stomach, ordered the Sausage and chicken stew from one of food trucks there. The sausage was impressive because they use croissant-skin to wrap around the sausage. Very delicious!
Macaroon! With cute shape and characters! I bought 8 of them! Love ❤️

After dessert, to spend time, we go traditional Korean food restaurant. We ordered 순대 (Sundae) / Korean sausage, 떡볶이 (tteokbeokki) / Stir-fried Rice Cake, 튀김 (Twikim) / Korean Fried Food. Nyam2! All of them are my favorite Korean foods!

Start the new year with new hair. I want to start fresh with the spirit to make all my dreams comes true.

This year is maybe going to be a big year for me, and I'm sure it will be. It will be a great year for me. So I'm trying to keep focus with what I want and never give up for that. And for all failed and painful things from last year, I'll keep trying to make the failed become success. And the pains become happiness. I'm not giving up, I just make a strategic retreat.

And for you all one thing you need to remember, don't give up if that thing is the thing you really want. Like JK Rowling ever said "Anything's possible if you've got enough nerve."

So let's make everything possible. Don't ever give up!
